AmaWaterways is continuing to expand how travelers experience the rivers of the world. With its Latin Touch sailings, the line offers river cruises for Spanish speakers. Spanish-speaking guests will now have the chance to explore Europe and South America in their own language, blending cultural familiarity with Ama’s signature warmth and service.

Launched in 2022, Latin Touch was created for guests who prefer to travel in Spanish. Everything from daily programs and menus to guided tours and entertainment is designed with Spanish-speaking travelers in mind. It’s the same immersive, high-quality experience AmaWaterways is known for, just with a rhythm and language that feel like home.
After strong enthusiasm for the first departures, AmaWaterways is expanding the program with three new Latin Touch sailings in 2026. Travelers can choose from Melodies of the Danube (June 21–28) aboard the new AmaSofia or two itineraries on Colombia’s Magdalena River: Wonders of Colombia (October 21–28) and Magic of Colombia (October 31–November 7).
Each sailing features a Spanish-speaking Cruise Director, guided tours in Spanish at every port and special touches that celebrate Latin culture like live music, themed parties and regional cuisine. On the Danube, guests can enjoy Latin-inspired performances as they sail through cities like Budapest, Vienna and Vilshofen. In Colombia, AmaMelodia and AmaMagdalena will bring the country’s vibrant traditions to life with cumbia rhythms, colorful festivals and shore excursions that showcase the warmth and history of the region.
AmaWaterways keeps finding new ways to make river cruising feel personal, meeting travelers where they are and bringing culture and connection to the forefront without losing what makes the river cruise experience so special.
