CroisiEurope, Europe’s largest river cruise operator, has announced its first-ever paddlewheel cruises on the Seine River, debuting in 2026 aboard the MS R.E. Waydelich L.J.. The new itineraries will make CroisiEurope the only river line offering paddlewheel sailings in northern France, combining small-ship comfort with access to the Seine’s most historic towns and landscapes.

Two New Seine Itineraries for 2026
CroisiEurope will introduce two itineraries aboard the MS R.E. Waydelich L.J. – a five-night Little Gems of the Seine sailing and a seven-night History of France: Paris to Normandy cruise. Both itineraries operate roundtrip from Paris and include all meals, drinks, Wi-Fi, port fees and repatriation insurance.
Little Gems of the Seine
The five-night Little Gems of the Seine itinerary passes through the region’s charming riverside towns, including Melun, Saint-Mammès, Corbeil-Essonnes and La Roche-Guyon – ranked among France’s most beautiful villages. Highlights include a visit to the Château de Fontainebleau, the historic Île de la Cité, Claude Monet’s gardens in Giverny and La Roche-Guyon’s cliffside château.
Fares start at $1,694 per person, with departures from March through November 2026.
History of France: Paris to Normandy
The seven-night History of France: Paris to Normandy sailing explores royal estates, Norman villages and historic cities along the river. Guests visit Versailles, Fontainebleau, Monet’s gardens and Rouen, and learn about the Seine’s navigation history at the MuséoSeine.
Ports of call include Melun, Mantes-la-Jolie, Caudebec-en-Caux, Rouen and La Roche-Guyon.
Prices begin at $2,398 per person, with departures from April through September 2026.
A New Era of Seine River Cruising
The MS R.E. Waydelich L.J. is a modern paddlewheel ship accommodating up to 81 guests in 42 cabins. Designed for smooth sailing in shallow or variable water conditions, the vessel features a restaurant, a lounge bar with dance floor and a spacious Sun Deck for panoramic views.
