The\u00a0Scenic Jewel<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>was launched in 2013. The “space ship”\u00a0is 443 feet long\u00a0and carries 169 guests and 51 crew members. This vessel was built with the same specifications and layout as its two sister ships \u2013 Scenic Crystal<\/a><\/strong> and Scenic Jade<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Unlike many river cruise ships, Scenic Jewel\u00a0offers full, step-out balconies in place of more traditional French balcony staterooms. And 85 percent of its cabins have private balconies.<\/p>\n There are 16 different stateroom categories aboard the Scenic Jewel. Categories are further differentiated by their relative positions on the ship and their square footage:<\/p>\n All staterooms feature flat-panel televisions, safes, wireless internet access, complimentary minibars, L\u2019Occitane bath amenities, hairdryers, plush bathrobes, and Scenic\u2019s own \u201cScenic Slumber Beds,\u201d featuring crisp Egyptian linens.<\/p>\n Cabins located on the\u00a0Sapphire and Diamond\u00a0decks have “Sun Lounge” balconies, which feature floor-to-ceiling retractable windows.\u00a0See related article about Scenic\u00a0Sun Lounges<\/a>.<\/p>\n Aboard Scenic\u2019s \u201cSpace Ships,\u201d several comfortable public areas are available for passengers to relax and mingle in.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Panorama Lounge and Bar<\/strong>\u00a0is situated all the way forward on Diamond Deck and features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for spectacular views of the passing scenery; a distinguishing feature of river cruising.<\/p>\n There are also several dining options available on the Scenic Jasper. On the Sapphire Deck, you’ll find the\u00a0Crystal Dining Room,<\/strong>which features a buffet-style breakfast, an\u00a0\u00e0 la carte menu and buffet for lunch and a full menu for dinner guests.\u00a0The\u00a0Table La Rive,<\/strong> which is open to\u00a0guests in select stateroom categories, is also located on the Sapphire Deck.<\/p>\n Portobellos Restaurant<\/strong>featuring a traditional Italian cuisine\u00a0is open for dinner, and the the \u00a0River Caf\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0for casual dining and snacks is open between breakfast and dinner. Both are located on the Diamond Deck.<\/p>\n And on the Sun Deck, the\u00a0Riverview Terrace<\/strong>\u00a0provides an open-air,\u00a0al-fresco<\/em>\u00a0dining experience.<\/p>\n For guests who prefer In-Suite Dining<\/strong>\u00a0on occasion, this option is available.<\/p>\n Other public areas for guests to enjoy include a Wellness Area with a small Spa Facility and Beauty Salon and a Fitness Center located on the Jewel Deck.<\/p>\nSCENIC JEWEL\u00a0Staterooms<\/h2>\n
