Unique among river cruise ships in Europe, Uniworld’s River Queen’s exterior resembles the Grand River steamships of the 1930’s, while her plush interior provides a classical elegance reminiscent of the famous Art Deco style.

Launched in 1991, River Queen is 361 feet long and carries 132 guests in 66 staterooms and 4 suites.

There are five stateroom categories aboard River Queen and one suite category. Staterooms measure 151 square feet on average, and suites 215 square feet.

Lavishly appointed riverview staterooms and suites have handcrafted Savoir® of England beds draped in 100% Egyptian cotton linens and European duvets, along with a menu of pillow choices.Stateroom and suite amenities include: generous built-in closets, hair dryer, individual climate-control thermostat, direct-dial telephone, flatscreen TV with infotainment center, and safe.

Marble bathrooms include: L’Occitane en Provence and Hermés bath and body products, plush towels, bathroom towel warmers, heated mirrors, backlit magnifying mirror, cozy bathrobes and slippers.

All suites are uniquely decorated and have additional amenities and services, including: in-suite butler service; packing and unpacking assistance; in-room breakfast; daily fruit and cookie plate, and an elegant evening snack; iPod dock; Nespresso coffee machine and fine teas; fully stocked minibar; bottle of wine upon arrival; shoeshine; and free laundry service.

The ship’s public areas are where River Queen really sets herself apart from her fleetmates. She boasts a panoramic lounge complete with the only working fireplace on any river cruise ship, the intimate and cozy Captain’s Lounge, a library, an elegant dining room featuring spectacular views, as well as a spa with sauna, fitness room, and a guest boutique. All public areas are equipped with Wi-Fi access, and meals are open-seating.

With her distinct features and classic Art Deco styling, it’s no wonder River Queen was recently named one of the “Top Small Cruise Ships” by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler. Join her on a voyage along the Rhine, or on one of the line’s extremely popular “Christmas Markets” cruises.
