Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has walked away with the first-place award for Top River Cruise Lines for Families in Travel + Leisure’s 2013 “World’s Best Awards,” as featured in the long-running magazine’s November 2013 issue. That alone would be worth bragging rights, but this marks the third consecutive year that Uniworld has been awarded the prestigious ranking.

The line has striven to continually provide itineraries and sailings suitable for multi-generational families, recognizing that everyone from grandparents to parents to children can benefit from the educational experience that defines river cruising.<p >Uniworld features special programs both onboard and ashore that are geared to families of all ages – all of which have been designed around standard school vacation periods. The line even has special pricing available for cruisers aged 4 to 18, who travel at half of the normal adult cruise fare when they are accompanied by an adult.
Of special note to families, the line’s Paris & Normandy itineraries will feature a specially designed “Kids View” of Paris, while kids of all ages will no doubt enjoy the visit to one of the most comprehensive toy museums in all of Europe on Uniworld’s Classic Christmas Markets journeys.
In 2014, the line will also introduce specialized multi-generational family programs to its popular Castles Along the Rhine itinerary that takes guests from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam, Netherlands or reverse.
