For those who are planning their upcoming 2014 river journeys, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is offering solo travellers a great deal on ten different itineraries.
On select departure dates, guests travelling solo will be able to take advantage of single supplements that are either reduced or waived entirely. Ordinarily, guests occupying double-occupancy staterooms by themselves have to pay premiums to do so, which can sometimes run as high as 100 percent of the per-person cruise fare. That’s the equivalent of paying for two people, for only one to travel.
Right now, though, Uniworld is offering to substantially reduce costs for solo river cruisers on 22 departure dates:

As with any special offer, there are a few terms and conditions to be aware of. While most are basic (the offers are listed in U.S. dollars and category upgrade charges may apply), one condition is noteworthy: This offer doesn’t apply to suites. With good reason – suites are the most in-demand stateroom category aboard any ship. That’s not to say you can’t occupy one all to yourself – it’s just that you’ll pay a premium to do so.
Still, Uniworld’s offer is likely to be music to the ears of countless solo river cruisers.
