With October just around the corner, is it too late to book a last-minute river cruise for 2014? CroisiEurope certainly doesn’t think so. The Strasbourg, France-based river cruise operator still has some enticing last-minute offers available on its website.
How last-minute are these? Well, very. But if you can pick up and go at a moment’s notice, these three itineraries just might fit the bill.
Departing September 26, 2014, CroisiEurope’s MS Victor Hugo sails a six-day Treasures of the North itinerary from Brussels, Belgium to Amsterdam, Netherlands. Along the way, port calls are made in beautiful Antwerp and Rotterdam, along with extended overnight stays in Brussels and Amsterdam. This one’s going for €692 per person (approximately $894 USD).
Guests booking the October 15, 2014 Picturesque Rhine voyage of the MS Modigliani are treated to a “buy one, get one half-off” special. Essentially, one passenger pays the €903 (US$1166) rate, and the 2nd person in the stateroom travels for only €453 (US$585). This six-day voyage travels roundtrip from Frankfurt, Germany along the fabulous Rhine. Port calls include Mainz, Andernach, Braubach, Bacharach, and the picturesque spa town and capital of Hesse, Wiesbaden.
For lovers of the French way of life, CroisiEurope’s final specials are on its weeklong The Camargue and The Gateway to Provence itinerary. There’s still availability on the September 28, 2014 sailing of the MS Camargue for €1078 per person (approximately US$1392 per person), but the real deals can be found on the October 3, 2014 sailing aboard the MS Mistral. This seven-day river cruise is going for €818 per person (US$1056 per person) and runs from Chalon-sur-Saone to Martigues, France. This voyage also stops in some of Southern France’s most beautiful cities, like Lyon and Avignon, with its spectacular and imposing Palais des Papes (Palace of the Popes).
River cruising may be the hottest and fastest-growing segment of the travel market, but to be sure, there are still some great last-minute deals out there – if you know where to look.
