Slow Internet: A Slight Pause In Our Reports From Viking Forseti

Today, Aaron Sauders boarded Viking River Cruises’ Viking Forseti for a journey on one of the line’s newest itineraries: the weeklong Chateaux, Rivers & Wine river cruise, which made its debut season this year.

As anyone who’s ever cruised before can attest, shipboard internet access is an inexact science at best. Aaron’s internet connection is fast enough to check emails, but he told me that even posting this short blurb took more than one hour. Thus, maintaining a full live voyage report, as we typically do on these cruises, just isn’t possible at this time.

We’ll simply put this one on time-delay. Aaron will continue to write and photograph full day-by-day reports and will begin posting them on daily beginning Saturday, November 29. He’s doing a back-to-back voyage, so his Viking Baldur Live Voyage Report will be placed on a similar “time delay,” beginning Sunday, December 7.

Of course, should internet connectivity come back in full force before then, he’ll resume the postings, beginning with day one.

Our Live Voyage Report aboard Viking River Cruises’ Viking Forseti will continue onSaturday, November 29. Follow along using the hashtag #LiveVoyageReport.
