Crystal River Cruises will officially christen Crystal Bach, the first of its four “Rhine Class” river ships during a VIP ceremony in Rüdesheim, Germany this coming Sunday. The occasion will be presided over by Crystal CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez, as well as recently unveiled godmother, renowned German opera star, Anna-Maria Kaufmann.
Crystal will livestream the event via Facebook Live feed on its Crystal Cruises Facebook page, allowing luxury travel enthusiasts from all over the world to welcome the newest member of “The World’s Most Luxurious River Cruise Line.” The complete video will also be available for viewing immediately following the original live broadcast.
Joining Rodriguez and Kaufmann will be executives from Crystal parent company, Genting Hong Kong, local dignitaries, and guests currently sailing on Crystal Bach’s maiden voyage, which departed Amsterdam August 13.
Crystal Bach and her upcoming sister ships mark an entirely new standard of luxury in river cruising, as the first and only all-balcony, all-suite ships, with all categories of accommodations perched above the water line. All four river ships will offer Crystal’s acclaimed butler service in every room category, king-sized beds, Panoramic Balcony-Windows™, walk-in closets and dual vanity in the bathrooms in most categories, ETRO robes and slippers, wall-mounted flat-screen HD TVs, and Nespresso machines. Additional enticing features include Crystal’s farm-to-table, Michelin-inspired cuisine in multiple, open-seating eateries: the elegant Waterside Restaurant, namesake Bistro cafés and the exclusive Vintage Room; and the Palm Court.
The ship will sail 10- and 14-day itineraries along the Rhine River, visiting medieval towns and modern hubs in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.
