Choosing a stateroom essentially comes down the size and category of the stateroom. On the lowest deck of the ship, you will find the smallest staterooms, which will feature a fixed window, and on the upper decks you will find suites with larger windows and perhaps balconies; though some river cruise lines don’t feature balconies at all.

Ralph used his multiple years of river cruising to answer two questions we are often asked: Which category stateroom should I book? Do I need a balcony?

My answer? No. Listen below to find out why.
