We just stepped off Avalon Artistry II in Bordeaux. While we have lots to convey, for now, we want to show you just a small sampling of some of the dishes that we were served on our Avalon Waterways Bordeaux cruise.
The chefs told us that they buy many items locally (they call it “farm-to-fork”) and even harvest herbs from their gardens on the upper deck of the ship. They certainly produced some beautiful dishes during our cruise.
We enjoyed the flexibility of dining experiences too. Avalon offers several dining venues/options: 1) four-course dinners in the Panorama Dining Room with flexible dining hours; 2) light lunch and nightly tapas in the Panorama Bistro; 3) room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner; 4) the Sky Grill on some sailings; and 5) snacks and specialty coffees and waters 24/7 in the Club Lounge, situated aft. If you prefer to picnic ashore, the Avalon staff will even prepare a picnic lunch for you.
We’ll have much more from our Avalon cruise. For now, feast your eyes on some of the dishes (and cocktails) that we enjoyed on Avalon last week.
