Riverside Luxury Cruises Welcomes Solo Travelers With No Single Supplement

Solo travel is booming, with everyone from Gen Z to retirees getting onboard. A recent study from travel provider Road Scholar found that 85% of their solo travelers are women – 60% of whom are married but choose independent adventures. River cruising offers a compelling option for seeking independent exploration and self-discovery in some of Europe’s most intriguing destinations. However, the cost of traditional cruises, often designed for couples, can be a barrier for solo travelers. Recognizing this, Riverside Luxury Cruises offers an allotment of Harmony Suites (Riverside Mozart) and Melody Suites (Riverside Debussy and Ravel) with no single supplement added, allowing all solo travelers to embark on their European adventures without incurring additional costs.

“We recognize that solo travel is an important and growing trend, and we at Riverside are committed to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all our guests,” said Jennifer Halboth, CEO of Riverside Collection Americas. “By waiving the single supplement on select suites across our entire fleet, we aim to make river cruising more accessible to solo travelers, including women who are looking to explore Europe independently. Whether traveling alone or with a group of friends, we want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the unique experience of river cruising on their own terms.”

Cruising on Riverside’s intimate ships fosters a sense of community and camaraderie, making it an ideal travel experience for solo travelers. The intimate atmosphere allows for easy interaction with other guests, creating opportunities to forge new friendships and share unforgettable experiences. A two-to-one guest to crew ratio allows for more personalized assistance for solo travelers, and Riverside’s all-inclusive fares remove the worry of additional and unplanned for expenses.

Popular itineraries among solo travelers include the Danube Medley, which calls on three major European capital cities: Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. This sailing includes three days in vibrant and walkable Budapest, where solo guests can take advantage of the city’s famed baths or check out the nightlife after hours. In France, the Rhone Rhapsody sailing appeals to foodies with a visit to the gourmet mecca that is Les Halles in Lyon, and visit the famed Chateauneuf-Du-Pape. The historic city of Avignon is an ideal port for solo travelers to wander, shopping and tasting to their hearts content. And finally, the Romantic Rhine Northbound itinerary isn’t just for couples. With ports of call in Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands, this journey offers some of Europe’s most beautiful scenery, best viewed from the top deck of a luxury river ship.

Riverside’s single supplement waiver is good for select Harmony Suites on the 162-guest Riverside Mozart on the Danube River, and Melody Suites on the 110-guest Riverside Debussy, sailing the Rhine, Main, Moselle and Danube, and Riverside Ravel, sailing the Rhône and Saône. The single supplement waiver is subject to availability and quantities are limited.

  1. Hello. I am seeking information regarding Rhine River cruises from Amsterdam to Basil. There will be two travelers and will want separate cabins. Information about dates of availability, is airfare included, and price.
    Thank you.
