Thanks for sharing this Patty! I’m pretty hooked on Chablis myself after having been there a few years ago!

I was doing some research on our new itinerary and I thought this map might help others. I am excited that we will be in the area of some of my favorite white wines: Sancerre, pouilly-fume and Chablis!
Looking forward to meeting all of you soon!
Patty
That is correct Patty. Recommended hotels Sheraton in the airport. Hilton is nearby by free train as is Citizen M (my fave) or stay in Paris and Uber to the airport.
Ralph, just to confirm… all lodging for the Loire Valley is included but not at the airport in Paris, correct? Patty

Hello to all our fellow barge travelers. We’re Gale & Dennis Sheehan from Petaluma, California. Both retired – Gale from an Executive Management HR role and Dennis from SVP Banking position – and loving every minute of it. We love traveling and most recently completed a river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest which we thoroughly enjoyed. We’re looking forward to meeting Ralph and all the other travelers.

Nancy McDuff (her husband is David W. Harvey)
Hi, my husband John and I are both retired process control engineers who currently live in Houston, Texas. We had a great time with Ralph last year on an Ama Waterways river cruise and are looking forward to this barge cruise and to meeting all of you. John is a long time Houston Zoo volunteer and we love traveling, nature and animals.
Thank you Patty! Looking forward to traveling with you again – and Bill for the first time.
Hi. I am Patty and I live in Chicago with my husband, Bill. Due to a change in plans, we are now able to join the group. I did one of Ralph’s barge trips two years ago and we all had a fabulous time. I am looking forward to doing it again and meeting everyone in the group.
We have been looking at the hotels this afternoon. Since check in isn’t until late afternoon, will the hotel keep our luggage while we go sight-seeing on the 11th? And then on the 12th, what will we do with our luggage b/t hotel check-out & embarkation?
Thank you Nancy (and David). Looking forward to enjoying this trip with you both.
Hello All,
My husband, David Harvey, and I live in Athens, GA and are both retired from UGA. I spent the last 20 years as head of Admissions and Enrollment Management there and prior to that was an administrator at Tulane for 15 years. With retirement (well almost for me, as I now work part time for UGA doing special projects) we love to travel, cook, eat and drink. We seem to spend a lot of time traveling to see our 6 grandchildren-and three children–and participating in the joys of a collegetown. We will be extending our time around this trip and plan to be gone about 6 weeks total this fall. I look forward to meeting all of you and spending time together on this adventure.
Thanks Lynne. Looking forward to meeting you both. I am on Delta quite a lot. May see you before our trip!
