AMAWATERWAYS appears to be on a hiring binge. Today, the company announced the newest addition to its executive team, Bruce Rosenberg, who joined the company on Sept. 8 as vice president of marketing.
Prior to joining AMA, Rosenberg had been senior vice president of sales and marketing at Pleasant Holidays, a California travel company that specializes in Hawaii vacations, which he joined in 2006. He is now based at AMA’s Chatsworth, Calif. headquarters and will report to Rudi Schreiner, president and CEO of AMA.
Rosenberg’s hire comes one day after Gary Murphy, president of Brendan Vacations, announced that in October he would be leaving Brendan to join his father, Jimmy Murphy, chairman of AMA. In June, Jimmy Murphy officially retired from Brendan, a tour company he helped found 40 years ago, to focus full-time on AMA.
All of which comes right on the heels of AMA having tapped former Deilmann River Cruises executive, Ron Santangelo, who joined AMA as vice president of business development last month.
