Scenic currently has 15 vessels in its fleet but will be adding an additional Space Ship in 2016. The Scenic Spirit will begin sailing on the Mekong River in Southeast Asia next year. This is a new and exciting opportunity for Scenic as the company expands its reach beyond the rivers Europe and Russia.
Scenic offers itineraries on the Danube, Douro, Dutch & Belgian Waterways, Dordogne & Garonne, Main, Moselle, Rhine, Rhône, Saône, Seine and Volga rivers in Europe and Russia.
Europe & Russia – Staterooms
Staterooms on Scenic’s ships range in size from 160 square feet to 420 square feet. On most European vessels the smallest cabin size is 160 square feet, and the largest cabin size is 325 square feet. However, Scenic has other ships in Europe with larger staterooms. For example, the Scenic Amber, Scenic Opal and Scenic Jasper have suites that measure up to 475 square feet.
The most common stateroom size for all of its European vessels is 205 square feet to 225 square feet.
Scenic also feature single cabins on most of its ships. Category BS staterooms measure 132 square feet and are available on all Scenic vessels, with the exception of Scenic Azure, Scenic Gem and Scenic Tsar.
Asia – Staterooms
The Scenic Spirit will be launched in 2016. Compared to other ships on the Mekong River, it will have some of the largest staterooms available. The smallest cabins will measure 345 square feet, and the largest will be 860 square feet. That is over twice the size of many other ships on the Mekong.

Scenic does not currently offer river cruises outside of Europe, Russia or Southeast Asia.

In the chart below, each ship for Scenic is listed. There are a few variations among the ships in Europe. Categories D and E have the smallest cabins. For the most common stateroom size, which exceeds 200 square feet, there are several categories available on most ships.

Although, there is some variation in stateroom size among the European vessels in its fleet, the newer vessels have the largest suites, which are up to 150 square feet bigger. These ships sail on the Rhine, Main, Moselle and Danube Rivers. The Scenic Gem on the Seine River and the Scenic Azure on the Douro River also have spacious suites measuring more than 400 square feet in size.
